Infrared Coagulation (IRC)

Infrared Coagulation (IRC) is a quick, non-surgical treatment that uses bursts of infrared light to shrink internal hemorrhoids by cutting off their blood supply. The procedure is virtually pain free, requires no anesthesia, and allows patients to return to normal activities the same day.

Rubber Band Ligation

Rubber Band Ligation is a common in-office procedure for treating internal hemorrhoids. A small rubber band is placed around the base of the hemorrhoid, cutting off circulation. The hemorrhoid eventually shrinks and falls off within a few days, with minimal discomfort.

Sclerotherapy

Sclerotherapy involves injecting a chemical solution into internal hemorrhoids, causing them to shrink and eventually be absorbed by the body. This minimally invasive procedure is effective for smaller hemorrhoids and is typically well tolerated.

Hemorrhoidectomy

A hemorrhoidectomy is a surgical procedure that removes large or severe hemorrhoids. This treatment is usually reserved for cases where other methods have not been effective. While recovery takes longer than minimally invasive treatments, it provides long-term relief.

Stapled Hemorrhoidopexy

Stapled Hemorrhoidopexy is a surgical procedure that repositions and reduces prolapsed hemorrhoids using a circular stapling device. This technique is less painful than a traditional hemorrhoidectomy and has a shorter recovery time.

Laser Treatment

Laser treatment for hemorrhoids uses focused laser energy to shrink and remove hemorrhoidal tissue. It offers a precise and minimally invasive option with less bleeding and a quicker recovery compared to traditional surgery.

Topical Medications

Over-the-counter and prescription topical treatments can provide temporary relief from hemorrhoid symptoms. These include creams, ointments, and suppositories that reduce inflammation, itching, and discomfort.

Diet & Lifestyle Changes

A high-fiber diet, increased water intake, and regular exercise can help prevent and manage hemorrhoids. Avoiding prolonged sitting and straining during bowel movements can also reduce the risk of hemorrhoid development and recurrence.
